2008 London Motor Show: Land Rover LRX
Is a white 4X4 ever a good idea? Land Rover’s shiny LRX concept is sure to show up the muck as soon as you take it off-tarmac, but then that’s hardly the point.
This prototype has been built around one thing: the iPhone.
Land Rover’s using the Apple phone to power its central control column. The handset’s screen even acts as the car’s “start” button when it’s docked.
Forming part of the off-road giant’s 60th anniversary celebrations, it’s a fully pimped-out posing mobile. Whether it’ll ever make it to production, however, is still unknown.
